There are similarities within a controlled industry but, to the degree as much as possible Greensward tries to distinguish its own personality, and allow the consumer to reap the benefits of the differences. At Greensward we use methods and materials to best match the job requirements.

Some methods and materials of application:

- Greensward applies most Turf Weed and Fertilizer applications using a mini turf spray boom.

* Mini Turf Spray Boom Applicator- Best method for foliar and soil surface applications, and small concentrated spray volumes (i.e. Best for Turf Weed Control and Fertilizing, and Best for surface applications of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides). Uses low pressure, drift reducing spray nozzles. Best accuracy, and control of the spray. Better uniform coverage. Less overlap. More concentrated spray means more spray stays on the target plants, and does not "runoff" like large volume hand gun treatments do. More concentrated spray reduces spray dry time making it safer to the community. More spray on the target means greater plant uptake of the chemical, and some foliar feeding of the fertilizers. Nozzles are lower to the ground 15 inches max reducing spray drift potential and greater control of spray. Hand gun applications are held about 3 feet high which lessens control of the spray, and increases spray drift onto desireable plants.

*Hand Gun Applicator- Useful for applying large spray volumes of soil applied chemicals (i.e. good for some subsurface applications). Some sprays require large volumes of water to carry the chemical further into the soil. Subsurface insecticides, some soil fungicides require this, and some preemergents can also be applied with greater water volumes added.

*Soil Injection- We use this for Tree and Shrub Fertilizing, Insecticides, Fungicides, Soil building ingredients, etc.. Best method to place proper doses to the Tree Feeder Roots at the correct depth. Also good for supplying air into the soil.  Beneficial non-invasive method which does not require injecting into the tree.

*Micro Injection- Used in certain severe cases of Insect pressure, extreme Nutrient deficiencies, and certain Diseases.  Small holes are strategically drilled to allow small volumes of certain insecticides, or nutrients to be injected directly into the tree.

*Fertilizers- Our mix is based on Plant Requirements for our area, and local soil sampling.

*At Greensward we employ numerous methods and materials. We select, blend, and recommend based on personal experience, reliabilty, efficiency, and costs of the materials with the overall goal to provide our customers with the best results at the lowest costs. Sometimes the lowest cost materials are not recommended due to lack of performance. So we use the best cost effective materials. Other materials are available at your request, feel free to enquire us about them.
