Greensward Lawn, Tree Care, & Pest Control

Storm Damaged Trees

If your trees have broken, or damaged limbs they should be inspected and pruned.  Further damage may be present not seen from the ground.  Getting up into the tree we are able to see up close any damage not visible from the ground.

Unless properly pruned, dead and broken branches do not seal properly.  Dead and broken branches become a food and harborage source for insect and disease organisms.  Dead and broken branches can become a direct route into the trunk for insect and disease organisms.  Decay organisms may be able to enter the tree causing further long term damage to your tree.

Removal of dying and dead branches takes away the food source for pathogens that could spread into the tree.

Storm damaged trees may be experiencing structural weakness; lean; root damage; cracks; broken, hanging, or lodged branches; and stresses.

Feel free to call Greensward for inspection, pruning, takedown, support systems, aeration/decompaction, fertilization, disease control, insect control, and soil conditioning services for trees.
